    Walking on Mine Area

    chrome

Google Inc released “Google Chrome” web browser in 2nd September. Firstly, you must download a file with 472kbs size that it’s named “ChromeSetup.exe”. Then you can download and install this web browser from Google servers by that file. Google Inc offered this solution for arresting to download this browser by prohibited countries such as Iran, Cuba, North Korea, etc.

I think some companies forget that the dial-up connection is still most popular internet connection in many of countries. The maximum speed of this kind of connection is 56kbs per second. The experience was shown to us, solution of “download and install by downloader” for free software was fielded at duration of downloading in dial-up connections.

This solution is mostly used for downloading and installing messengers such as Yahoo and Windows Live messengers. But even downloading of these messengers was faced with many problems on dial-up internet connections.

As a mater of fact, end users don’t have overtime and mood for downloading and installing software by internet services. So, many of users will ignore this process and they will work previous web browser.

In the other side, Google proclaimed this web browser is open source. But, downloading any open source is not limited for specified countries or persons. Certainly, Mr. Richard Stallman will not protect this web browser as open source software and he will omit the name of Chrome from open source software list. I believe that Google is a great company in internet market. But, if this company performs white house’s polices, it can work in open source domain.

Finally, if Google Inc continues to offer Chrome web browser with current polices, it’s so far that Chrome becomes a popular web browser. It’s look like walking on mine area for wining in internet market.

    Who is following equilibrium?

    bill

Microsoft chairman Mr. Bill Gates was lectured in Hong Kong at August 12, 2008. He was speaking at an event celebrating the 10th anniversary of Microsoft Research Asia, the software company's research arm in the Asia Pacific region. The focus of his lecture was on China and Hong Kong, not on Asia, not on the world.

“It really is a milestone, which shows the world the opportunities we have if we all work together, and have places like Hong Kong and China which will be such an important part of the future,” he said.

He added that technology currently being developed would transform the way people use computers, expanding their ability to interact with the machines.

“Increasing internet connection will greatly broaden services for users, allowing them remote access to a wide range of software and information,” he said.

“People often talk about this as the internet service revolution,” Mr. Gates told a gathering of 1600 researchers and academics.

“That will eventually lead to machines with lots of server capacity, low-cost computing, low-cost storage. And that will let us write software in an even more ambitious way, eliminating the last constraints we have,” he said.

As for the following decade, he predicted: “You might get artificial intelligence or robotics, but those are still undeveloped in terms of widespread impact.”

“Whether it's software or energy or agriculture, the promise of science is much greater than ever before, and that's why I'm so optimistic,” he said.

Now, there is one question for people all around the world. Who is following equilibrium in IT industry for all of countries? Maybe Americans will walk on the wall like Matrix film until 20 next years!!! But there are some countries that the food crisis isn’t solved for them yet. Certainly, there are difference classes in global village.

Microsoft didn’t also make its motto that it is “One house, one computer”. Many of people in Asia, Africa, North America and Eastern Europe have a low economic power for shopping a PC and they don’t have access to low-cost, none-filtered and high-speed internet such as Russians, Chinese, Iranians, Iraqis, Afghanis, Georgians, North Koreans, Cubans, etc.

When Mr. Bill Gates talks about internet service revolution and merging TV and internet, He speaks for United States, Europe Union, Japan, Canada and Australia.  Not for Asia, Africa, South America, Middle East and the entire world.

These regions don’t have even an appropriate infrastructure for information management. I think answering to list of below questions is more use than speaking about revolution for these countries.

    • What is your plan for decreasing the lack of equipment in Asia?
    • What is your plan for decreasing the lack of education in Asia?
    • What is your plan for decreasing the lack of team working culture in Middle East?
    • What is your plan for increasing incorporate between Asia and west block about IT industry?
    • What is your plan for increasing notice of west block to Asia potentials about IT industry?
    • What is your plan for increasing Copyright culture in Asia (exactly in China and Iran)?
    • What is your plan for decreasing none-mandatory prohibits for some of countries in Asia?
    • etc
When Asia need to a basic infrastructure in IT industry, speaking about revolution is unfruitful. If today United States is a great power in IT world wide, it’s because of an appropriate infrastructure. The lecture of Mr. Bill Gates is specified for Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. Certainly, these countries are not the entire Asia. No one can deny Mr. Bill Gates is not a diplomat. But I hope he deeply considers to Asia problems in future.
